About App

In this case study, I explore the UX/UI design process behind BeautyMate — a mobile app that helps users navigate skincare and beauty products with more confidence and clarity. The goal was to build a structured, user-centered solution tailored for a community-driven experience.

This process combined user research, usability mapping, and interface design — resulting in a product that balances functionality with an engaging and trustworthy visual system.

Routine Section

The Routine section was designed to help users build and manage personalized skincare routines with clarity and ease. It guides them through adding products, scheduling usage, and tracking progress. The goal was to create a structured yet flexible flow that supports daily habit-building and long-term consistency.

Challenges & Solutions

Challenge:

Users feel overwhelmed by the amount of skincare products and struggle to choose what truly fits their skin type and goals.

Solution:

Conducted UX research to identify key decision-making pain points. Introduced onboarding with a skin quiz, personalized product suggestions, and a structured routine builder to simplify choices and guide user behavior.

Community Section

The Community section highlights the supportive side of the BeautyMate experience. It gives users a space to share reviews, join challenges, and exchange feedback. The goal was to create a warm, trustworthy environment that encourages engagement and a sense of belonging.
